(KSOCA) was founded on
January 5, 1950 in Oakland, California
with the purpose of promoting the interests of citizens and residents of the USA originating from the island of Kythera.
The KSOCA strives to:
✓ Strengthen ties amongst Kytherians around the globe
✓ Promote an appreciation for the culture and history of the island
✓ Encourage young Kytherians to discover & celebrate
their Greek heritage

Kythera the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite,
also known as Cerigo, is an island located in Greece between
the southern coast of Peloponnesos and Crete.
The population of the island is about 3000 inhabitants but Kytherians in
Australia, USA, and throughout the world, number in the thousands.
